2026 SPRING SHOW - MUSIC FESTIVAL

It's almost that time of year again; the 2025 annual spring show is right around the corner! We are eager to bring some of your favorite artists, themes and music festival experiences to the ice!  Embrace the Music Festival fun with us as we spend a night under the lights.

Show Dates & Times: ­ Saturday, May 2 at 1:00 & 6:30 PM
 
Dress Rehearsal: ­ Friday, May 1st from 5:00-8:30 PM

Parent Info Meeting & Measurements
Plan to attend one of the following Parent meetings. During this time, we will also gather your child's measurements for costumes. 
- Monday, March 2nd
      Parent meeting: 6:00-7:00 PM
      Measurements: 5:00-6:00 and 7:00 - 7:30PM
- Thursday, March 5th
      Parent meeting: 6:30-7:30 PM
      Measurements: 7:00-8:30 PM

LARGE GROUP NUMBER LEVELS & INFORMATION
Large Group Numbers:
  • Every skater is required to be in at least one Large Group Number. 
  • Skaters can be in multiple group numbers. (But can only be in one solo/feature.)
  • Seniors can choose be in a Freestyle Group Number, Extra Group(s) Number, and Senior Group Number or any combination of Group Numbers or they can choose to be  only in the Senior Group Number. 
  • All Large Group Number pricing is per skater and includes: costumes, coaching, and practice ice
  1. Learn to Skate Group Number: $175 - Skaters will be grouped with skaters of similar skill level. Practice may vary by level.
  2. Hockey Group Number: $125 - This number will be choreographed specifically to showcase hockey skating skills and power.
  3. Aspire Group Number: $175 - Skaters enrolled in the Aspire program will participate in a special group number together. *Monday Aspire Group will utilize some Pathways time for Spring Show Practice - Monday group is $100 *
  4. Freestyle Group Number: $175 - Skaters will be grouped with skaters of similar skill level.
  5. Extra Group(s) Number: $100 - Skaters will be grouped with skaters with similar skills in an additional group number to their Freestyle, LTS, or Aspire group.
  6. Senior Group Number: $65 - Group number for 2026 graduating high school seniors only.
LARGE GROUP NUMBER PRACTICE SCHEDULE:
Learn To Skate Large Group:
  • Practices will be once a week on either Saturdays for 6 weeks or  Mondays for 7 weeks.
  • Skaters can choose to be in the Monday group, the Saturday group, or both.
  • Groups may be consolidated to one day if group numbers are small.
  • Saturday Practice Dates: 3/7, 3/14, 3/28, 4/11, 4/18, 4/25 (10:45-11:15 AM) and Dress Rehearsal Friday, May 1st (5:00-6:30 PM) *No Practice 3/21 (Competition), 4/4 (Holiday)*
  • Monday Dates: 3/9, 3/16, 3/23, 3/30, 4/13, 4/20, 4/27 (6:15-6:45 PM) and Dress Rehearsal Friday, May 1st (5:00-6:30 PM) *No Practice 4/6(Holiday)*
Hockey Large Group: *Minimum of 6 skaters is required or group will be cancelled*
  • Practices will be once a week on Saturdays for 6 weeks following Saturday LTS Classes
  • Saturday Practice Dates: 3/7, 3/14, 3/28, 4/11, 4/18, 4/25 (10:45-11:15 AM) and Dress Rehearsal Friday, May 1st (5:00-6:30 PM) *No Practice 3/21 (Competition), 4/4 (Holiday)*
Aspire Large Group:
  • Practices will be once a week on Mondays for 7 weeks and/or Thursdays for 8 weeks
  • Aspire Skaters can choose to be in the Monday group, the Thursday group, or both.
  • Monday Dates: 3/9, 3/16, 3/23, 3/30, 4/13, 4/20, 4/27 (6:15-6:45 PM) and Dress Rehearsal Friday, May 1st (5:00-6:30 PM) *No Practice 4/6(Holiday)*
  • Thursday Dates: 3/12, 3/19, 3/26, 4/2, 4/9, 4/16, 4/23, 4/30 (6:15-7:00 PM) and Dress Rehearsal Friday, May 1st (5:00-8:30 PM)
Freestyle Large Group: 
  • Practices will be once a week on Thursday for 8 weeks, during one of the assigned times below.
  • Thursday (6:00 - 6:30 PM) 
  • Thursday (6:30 - 7:00 PM) 
  • Groups practice times assigned after registration closes, skaters in these group will practice during one of the times listed above, not both. 
  • Thursday Dates: 3/12, 3/19, 3/26, 4/2, 4/9, 4/16, 4/23, 4/30 (6:15-7:00 PM)
  • Dress Rehearsal Friday, May 1st (5:00-8:30 PM)
Senior Group:
  • Practices will be once a week on Sundays for 5 weeks. This will be determined by the group.
  • Sundays (3:15 PM-4:00 PM)
  • Sunday Dates: 3/8, 3/15, 3/29, 4/12, 4/19
  • Dress Rehearsal Friday, May 1st (5:00-6:30 PM) *No Practice 3/22(Competition), 4/5 (Holiday) 4/26 (Skater Celebration)*
Extra Freestyle Large Group:
  • Practices will be once a week on Sundays for 5 weeks.
  • Sundays (3:15 PM-4:00 PM)
  • Sunday Dates: 3/8, 3/15, 3/29, 4/12, 4/19
  • Dress Rehearsal Friday, May 1st (5:00-6:30 PM) *No Practice 3/22(Competition), 4/5 (Holiday) 4/26 (Skater Celebration)*
Extra LTS Large Group: 
  • Practices will be once a week on Saturdays for 6 weeks or  Mondays for 7 weeks.
  • Skaters can choose to be in the Monday group, the Saturday group, or both.
  • If skaters chooses to be in a second LTS group, the second group day (either Monday or Saturday) is at the reduced rate of $80.
  • Groups may be consolidated to one day if group numbers are small.
  • Saturday Practice Dates: 3/7, 3/14, 3/28, 4/11, 4/18, 4/25 (10:45-11:15 AM) and Dress Rehearsal Friday, May 1st (5:00-6:30 PM) *No Practice 3/21 (Competition), 4/4 (Holiday)*
  • Monday Dates: 3/9, 3/16, 3/23, 3/30, 4/13, 4/20, 4/27 (6:15-6:45 PM) and Dress Rehearsal Friday, May 1st (5:00-6:30 PM) *No Practice 4/6(Holiday)*
 
SPECIALTY NUMBERS INFORMATION - SOLOS, FEATURES & SMALL GROUPS
 
**EVERY Skater registering for a Specialty Number (Solo, Feature or Small Group) must also register for a Group Number. Group level assignments are listed above**
 
Choreography: All features, soloists and small groups (duets, trios and quartets)  will be expected to hire a coach for choreography.  On average, it should take no more than 60 minutes in total to choreograph a show program. Please contact your private lesson coach to work out arrangements for choreography.
 
Costumes: All show costumes must be approved by the show director.  Email pictures/designs for approval no later than March 1st to Raegan.
 
Solos & Features: SFFSC home club members are eligible to perform either a Feature (short solo that ties directly into a group number) or a Solo (longer solo that represents the show theme)
 
Solos Requirements: To be eligible for a solo, skaters must meet all of the criteria below
  • Be a SF Home Club Member 
  • Passed either the ­Juvenile Free Skate test, ISI Freestyle 5 test, or Open Silver Freestyle test
  • Have each of the listed skills consistent (80% of the time): Axel Jump, Flying Camel/ Layback Spin
  • Represented SFFSC at one of the following competitions: SF Season Opener, New Ulm Fall Festival, Frosty Blades, Sioux Falls Challenge Cup

Features Requirements: To be eligible for a Feature, skaters must meet all of the criteria below

  • Be a SF Home Club Member
  • Passed the USFS Preliminary Free Skate test and/or ISI Freestyle 4, or Open Silver Freestyle test
  • Have each of the listed skills consistent (80% of the time): Lutz Jump, Sit Spin/Back Scratch Spin
  • Represented SFFSC at one of the following competitions: SF Season Opener, New Ulm Fall Festival, Frosty Blades, Sioux Falls Challenge Cup
Solo Assignments: Any athlete performing as a feature or solo will be given a show assignment which will be determined by the show director. The cut music will be provided to the head coach of each feature/soloist. No personal requests will be accepted.
 
Senior Solos: All SF Home Club Member 2026 graduating high school seniors, will choose their own senior solo music. Music selections for seniors get priority over all show numbers and must be submitted by February 23rd. Please email Raegan for confirmation prior to cutting music or working on any choreography.
 
SPECIALTY NUMBERS:
  • Small group (duet, trio or quartet): $60 per skater - each group member is required to register for number (costumes and coaching is not included, skaters are responsible for their own costumes and arranging with a private lesson coach for choreography) Limited to 12 groups.
  • Feature: $100 for home club members who have passed Preliminary Free Skate test and/or ISI Freestyle 4 (costume and coaching not included) Limited to 6 features.
  • Solo: $100 for home club members who have passed ­Juvenile Free Skate test and/or ISI Freestyle 5 test (costume and coaching not included). Limited to 7 solos.
  • Senior solo: $65 for 2026 High School Seniors Only (costume and coaching not included) Limited to 3 senior solos.
 

IMPORTANT MEMBERSHIP REQUIREMENT INFORMATION

All skaters participating in this show are considered members of the Sioux Falls Figure Skating Club, which requires a SFFSC Membership. Your membership must be current before we are able to welcome your skater onto the ice.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

SFFSC has the right to cancel any session, class, or event that does not reach the required skater minimums prior to the registration deadline. All deadlines are set a minimum of seven days prior to the day of the event. Any invoice created to enroll a skater in a program past the deadline to register will be subject to a $5 invoice fee. Should any session be canceled, you will be notified via email and refunded. Registration & Processing Fees are non-refundable.  Sioux Falls Figure Skating Club releases responsibility and liability of all participants at the conclusion of each event as specified in the event schedule.
