Atoms - Squirts

Enroll your athlete in this three-day skating skill specific clinic that focuses on essential skating skills needed for strong hockey players. Coaches will utilize slow and fast paced drills and exercises to hone specific skating skills and general skating awareness.

Skaters will work with coaches on edges, stopping, backwards skating, transitions, and handling skills.

Have a new player? This clinic offers a training option specifically for the younger and new skater. Coaches will utilize toys, markers, and on-ice equipment to engage new players and introduce beginners to skating.

Skaters in this group will focus on balance, ice familiarity, forward and backward skating skills, and learn the fundamentals to holding and using their stick.

Players in this clinic will be grouped according to age/skating ability. Please indicate your skaters birth year, skating experience and team affiliation in the registration.

Skaters should wear full gear (any jersey is fine) if they have it. New skaters should wear a helmet and gloves.

July 21-23

• Wednesday, 7/23: 3:45-4:45 PM

Clinic Cost:

Cost for each clinic session includes 3 days (3 hours of on-ice instruction, Monday-Wednesday)

Early Bird Registration (Before May 30): $100 

Registration (After May 30): $110

 

IMPORTANT MEMBERSHIP REQUIREMENT INFORMATION

 All skaters are considered members of the Sioux Falls Figure Skating Club, which requires a SFFSC Membership. Your membership must be current before we are able to welcome your skater onto the ice. If you do not have the required current membership you will receive an email from our membership manager with instructions on how to purchase or renew your membership.

Summer SFFSC Membership note: The summer session occurs during both the 2024-25 season and the 2025-26 season. All skaters participating in the summer season will need both season memberships. (2024-25 season ends on 6/30/25 and the 2025-26 season begins on 7/1/25. All 2025-26 memberships are effective through 6/30/26).  

Skaters with a current 2024-25 SFFSC Membership: If you have a current 2024-25 SFFSC Membership, that will expire on 6/30/25, you will receive an email with a link to renew your membership for the 2025-26 season.

• New Skaters or Skaters from Other Clubs: If you are new to SFFSC programs and participating in the summer session for the first time, you will receive an email with options for Summer Memberships or memberships for both seasons

Guest Skaters: The Guest Skater Day Pass ($10) gives guest skaters access to all programming available on a designated day (ex. freestyle ice, advanced classes, clinics, etc). This is only available to skaters with a current USFS, ISI, or LTS USA membership with their Home Club who is visiting our rink as a guest for a limited time. Must reside outside the Sioux Falls metro area (must be 50 miles or more from Sioux Falls). Valid for one day only, but does cover all programming on the designated day - a day pass is required for each day when attending more than one day of programming. Skating on SFFSC ice on a regular basis requires a SFFSC annual membership. Proof of required membership (USFS, ISI, or LTS USA) must be provided at the time of registration - prior to taking the ice.   Click here to purchase a Guest Skater Day Pass.

Because this clinic is 3 days long  you would need to purchase 3 day passes at $10 each.

If you skate regularly with us, our Secondary Membership allows you to keep your primary membership with your Home Club and supplement your skating time at SFFSC while getting member pricing on all Freestyle Ice, programming, clinics, etc. Click Here for details and requirements or to purchase a SFFSC Secondary Club Membership. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

SFFSC has the right to cancel any session, class, or event that does not reach the required skater minimums prior to the registration deadline. All deadlines are set a minimum of seven days prior to the day of the event. Any invoice created to enroll a skater in a program past the deadline to register will be subject to a $5 invoice fee. Should any session be canceled, you will be notified via email and refunded. Registration & Processing Fees are non-refundable.  Sioux Falls Figure Skating Club releases responsibility and liability of all participants at the conclusion of each event as specified in the event schedule.
