Hockey Academy Coaches

Hockey Academy (HA) is growing and in search of responsible, reliable, enthusiastic coaches to join their team. 
Work with Hockey players in small groups to build essential skating fundamentals. Lead games, drills, and exercises that aid the development of skating and stick handling fluency. 
  • Pay is based on age and experience 
  • Coach classes on Wednesday evenings and/or Saturday mornings

Ice Skating Instructor

Qualifications
  • Knowledge and skill in organization and supervision of instructional skating classes.
  • Experience working with children ages 3 through teens and young adults.
  • Basic skating skills are required.
  • Familiarity with the Ice Skating Institute (I.S.I) and/or Learn to Skate USA (LTS) program and its guidelines.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Responsibilities
  • To lead and instruct 16-week learn to skate classes, which may include beginner through Free Skate levels and hockey skating classes.
  • Instructors may also assist in test sessions, exhibitions, competitions, special events, and the annual spring ice show.
  • Candidates should have a genuine interest in working with kids in an instructional environment while also possessing the ability to communicate effectively with participants, fellow instructors, and Learn to Skate Director.
Full description: To lead and instruct 16-week long learn to skate classes, which may include beginner through Free Skate levels as well as hockey skating. Instructors may also assist in test sessions, exhibitions, competitions, special events, and the annual spring ice show. Additional paid opportunity as a private lesson instructor is available. Candidates should have a genuine interest in working with kids in an instructional environment while also possessing the ability to communicate effectively with participants, parents, fellow instructors, and Learn to Skate Director.
  • Part-time Hours - Flexible Scheduling - Choose between any or all of the following :
    • Monday evenings 5:30-7:15 PM
    • Wednesday evenings 5:30-8:00 PM
    • Saturday mornings 9:15-11:00 PM
  • 16 years of age or older.
  • Competitive Pay: $14.00 - $26.00/hour (Based on experience)
